It
is quite a difficult job to find the exact origin of any religion. But what any
scholar can possibly do is to predict. In this modern world, where one finds
almost a fully developed sense of religion and its features, where man keeps
difference and distinction between his own neighbors in terms of religion, it
is better to think of the need of religion or purpose of religion in the
society.
All
through the different centuries, religion was dealt in different ways by the
society. If one society has made use of magic, then other society may have made
use of politics in religion. With the increase in need, religion and its
elements were burdened with more responsibilities, so as to satisfy humans. Today,
look into any religion and one can find that religion always stands higher than
its own deity. In the name of deity, it is religion that is praised, it is
religion that is economically enriched, and it is religion that is
theologically “brain-washing” the society.
